Misunderstood Minds Everyone should go here and try this stuff. Experience learning to read and write and listen from a different perspective go on see if you can do it. Learning difficulties site. Misunderstood Minds: the documentary
For one in five students, learning is an exhausting and frustrating struggle. Often mistakenly called "lazy" or "stupid" by their teachers, classmates, and even their families, these children may be suffering from debilitating learning problems. If not addressed, the problems can have a devastating impact on the students' self-esteem and future academic and social success.
The PBS documentary Misunderstood Minds shines a spotlight on this painful subject, following the stories of five families as, together with experts, they try to solve the mysteries of their children's learning difficulties. Produced and directed by renowned Frontline filmmaker Michael Kirk, this 90-minute special shows the children's problems in a new light, and serves as a platform to open a nationwide dialogue on how best to manage young, vulnerable, and misunderstood minds.

eThemes: Online Resources for Educators
What is eThemes?
eThemes is an extensive database of content-rich, age-appropriate resources organized around specific themes. These resources are created for educators to use in their classrooms.
How Does eThemes Work?
The first step is for teachers participating in the eMINTS Program to fill out an online eThemes request. Resource Scouts, graduate students trained in navigating the Internet, search the Web for child-safe sites. The Scouts write a short description about each site and assign appropriate grade levels and Show-Me Standards to the eThemes resource. The resource then is entered into the online database for all educators to access.

Educational Technology News, Techniques and Theories of Effective Use of Technology in Education ~ The intent of the news blogs is to serve the academic community with links to relevant news and information. Ray Scroeder posts minimal information, usually quoting a sentence or two, to identify the topic and relevance of each item with a prominent active hyperlink to the full report or article. The intent is not to replace the reading of news sources, but rather to encourage blog readers to visit the cited sources.
